was called to order at

The Commissioners signed a Community
Mobilization Contract with the State of
The Commissioners approved the request
by the Maintenance Department to appoint Royer DeChenne as Administrative
Assistant due to Vern Cummings additional work load as Clerk of the Works for
Mental Health’s new building and other building projects that are planned.
The Commissioners appointed Bill
Bailey to a position on the Grant County Planning Commission.
The Commissioners approved the salary
increase of Janet Millard of the Prosecuting Attorneys Office to Legal
Secretary ll,Band 6, Step 4.
The Commissioners received a Claim for
Damages from Belen Villarreal, et al.
The matter was referred to the Prosecuting Attorney for handling.
The Commissioners approved the Request
for Transfer of Funds in the Capital Outlay and other departments in the amount
of $17,852.
The Commissioners approved the Request
for Transfer of Funds in the Communications Department in the amount of $4,463.
As of this date the Board by a
majority vote does approve for payment those vouchers filed in the Auditors
Office
The Commissioners held a Public
Hearing regarding the Reasonable Use Exception request from Steve Roylance, to
allow the development of a single-family dwelling on a 1.13 acre parcel in the
Agriculture Zone. After due
consideration a motion was made by Commissioner Moore, seconded by Commissioner
Snead to uphold the recommendation of the Planning Commissioner and adopt Resolution Number 2002-155-CC approving the
Reasonable Use Exception. The motion
carried.
The Commissioners held a Public
Hearing regarding the Reasonable Use Exception request from Mary Kile to allow
the development of a duplex-residential dwelling on a .29-acre parcel in the
Rural Residential 2 Zone. After due
consideration a motion was made by Commissioner Moore, seconded by Commissioner
Snead to uphold the recommendation of the Planning Commission and adopt
Resolution Number 2002-156-CC approving the Reasonable Use Exception. The motion carried.

The Commissioners held a Public
Hearing regarding the Reasonable Use Exception Request by Granco Federal Credit
Union to allow residential development on a portion of Lot #25, Block #6 of
Ephrata Orchards Homes Plat consisting of approximately 4.21 acres. After due consideration a motion was made by
Commissioner Moore, seconded by Commissioner Snead to uphold the recommendation
of the Planning Commission and adopt Resolution Number 2002-157-CC approving
the Reasonable Use Exception. The motion
carried.
The Commissioners approved the request
by the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office and extended the tenure of Philip Peterson
for up to six months at $12.00 per hour.
A Public Hearing was held and a motion
was made by Commissioner Allison, seconded by Commissioner Moore that
Resolution Number 2002-158-CC authorizing an appropriation and expenditure of
funds for the Economic Enhancement fund #113, Department #155 in the amount of
$83,528 be passed. The motion carried.
The Commissioners approved the salary
of Shannon Falstad of the Auditors Office as the new Licensing/Recording Lead
Deputy at $2,211 per month.

by the Sheriff’s Office for the purchase of a Total Station at $16,233.63,
Polygraph and Printer at $6,170 and some Laptops at $7,124 from funds received
through a Local Law Enforcement Grant.
The Commissioners approved the Request
for Transfer of Funds in the Juvenile Department #117, Operating Fund #001 in
the total amount of $15,352.
The Commissioners approved the request
by the Sheriff’s Office for a budget extension in the amount of $26,572 to
accommodate a Local Law Enforcement Grant.
The Commissioners approved the Request
for Transfer of Funds in Department #149 of the Sheriff’s Drug Seizures Fund
#107 in the amount of $2,952.
The Commissioners held a Closed Record
Public Hearing regarding the Dietrich Replat.
After due consideration a motion was made by Commissioner Allison,
seconded by Commissioner Moore to uphold the Planning Commission recommendation
and approve the Replat with the 10 conditions and 6 findings as provided. The motion carried.
