Grant
County is statutorily authorized to dispense with
advertisement and competitive bidding (and other
requirements for formal sealed bidding) for certain
purchases and/or services and has three types of Roster
lists available for qualifying companies and/or contractors.

Washington State recently amended the requirements for a
contractor to be considered a responsible bidder. These
responsibilities must be met for a contractor to be
considered for a public works project with Grant County.

here. Companies interested in bidding on public
works contracts for Grant County should familiarize
themselves with this amendment. It outlines both
responsible bidder criteria and some of the County's
options for selecting contractors.

Is notifying all firms interested in
submitting qualifications for
Architectural and Engineering services
for the new Grant County Jail of the
following:
Grant County recognizes that due to the
COVID issues in our current environment,
firms interested in submitting
qualifications may have difficulty
creating, putting together and
delivering submissions as outlined in
the RFQ
EMAIL submissions for this RFQ will be
accepted. We prefer firms send in
submissions as outlined however, Grant
County will allow firms to decide what
works best for each firm. The submission
regardless of how it was delivered will
have no impact on the scoring. The
scoring is articulated well enough that
if the submissions are performed as
described, the County will be able to
make an informed decision on who they
would like to move to the round of
interviews.

Firms that are submitting large files
that are expected to be too large to
send (email attachment size limit is
10MB), should contact the Central
Services Director at
[email protected].
Let me know of your intent to upload
documents and I will create a Dropbox
file for your firm to upload your
documents and send a link in the
response. Firms agree through this
method that Grant County is not
responsible for uploads that are not
complete or for any missing files.
After your upload, contact me through
either of the above listed email
addresses to advise that you have done
so,
I will confirm that I have received
uploads and specify the number of files
received in the response.
RESPONSES SHOULD BE RECEIVED NO LATER
THAN THE SAME TIME REFERENCED IN THE RFQ,
Please do not wait until the last minute
as I may receive numerous submissions
and submissions will not be accepted
after the time listed in the RFQ..
It is strongly suggested that any firm
utilizing this process have submissions
completed the day prior to ensure your
files are received. I have no way of
creating links 5 minutes prior to the
deadline for submissions. Especially if
I receive requests from 10 firms at the
last minute. Please recognize and
respect this request
It is our hope that this helps firms
struggling with logistical issues, Grant
County has not been contacted by any
firm that has required this action, it
is simply Grant County taking steps
trying to help firms during this time.
